THE WAY BRUCH SHOULD BE
Eggs Benedict with Samurai Chardonnay from Free Run Juice
If you’re doing brunch right you know there’ll be a few bubbles involved. Samurai Chardonnay by Free Run Juice and Eggs Benedict are a match made in heaven. The clean, fresh and fruity notes of the chardonnay compliment late mornings and the buttery and creamy hollandaise sauce.
ADDING MORE PUNCH TO YA LUNCH
Jerk Chicken Ciabatta with Claudia from Moor Beer Company
Our Jerk Chicken Ciabatta pairs perfectly with Moor Beer Company Claudia. The balance of fermented flavours is key as the chicken thighs have been carefully soaked in a fermented jerk marinade. By pairing the ciabatta with a light hoppy wheat ale they both work together to enhance one another’s unique qualities. The beers perfumed, floral hoppy character, compliments the fruity salsa, cooling mayo, as well as red cabbage and onion; both bringing a zing of freshness to the palate.
A LUNCH TO SUIT THE BEST OF US
Miso Mushroom Ciabatta with Brut Champagne from Deville Jean-Paul
Take your lunch to the next level by sipping on a chilled glass of brut Champagne along with our Miso Mushroom Ciabatta. The umami flavour found in mushrooms, especially those infused with eastern flavours, always finds a friend in a glass of brut Champagne as they both compliment each others earthy, rich notes. The Champagne’s carbonation helps to cut through the mushroom’s richness, as well as the added heat from the chilli and sriracha mayo.
A SIDEKICK TO A SIDE DISH
Roasted Potato Pesto Salad and Lemongrass Saison from Partizan
Our Roasted Potato Pesto Salad is a simple and classic way to take your lunch from a 9 to a perfect 10! This fresh salad is shouting for a citrusy beer to join its side. This very refreshing Lemongrass Saison from Partizan has subtle hints of lemongrass with a dry delicate mouthfeel, which makes this beer the perfect sidekick to a nutty, herby dish.
IF IT WORKS DON’T CHANGE IT
Ham & Cheese Toastie with Rosé from Bergerie De La Bastide
The contrast between the oozing cheese and crisp zing works a treat, however, why not go that extra mile to make your cheese toastie even more mouth-watering. The French have been pairing croque monsieur (AKA. cheese and ham toasties) withrosé for generations. A general rule of thumb in food and drink pairings is that if they’re grown together, they’ll go together. The same can be said about our cheese and ham toastie, the rosé from Bergerie De La Bastide is rich and dry flavour which perfectly cuts through the extra strength of flavour found in English cheese.
A PROPER SNACK
Sausage Rolls by Luxton & Poole and Peckham Pils from Brick Brewery
This pairing is for the ones who need to add a little snack with their evening drinks. The extra carbonation in pilsner helps to cut through buttery flaky pastry. The Czech style lager has been created with traditional saaz (a “noble” variety of hops) which adds pleasant earthy, citrus and spicy overtones to the beer; complimenting the rich flavourings of the pork in the sausage roll.
