Introducing our biscuit and Parkin supplier Lottie Shaw, the story began 100 years ago in the Yorkshire Penniness, where Lotties’ Great Aunts enjoyed celebrating Yorkshire through baking. This love treacled (😏 ) down to Lottie, having spent many years in the kitchen with family. Their love of baking and their delicious recipes were passed down through three generations.
Lottie Shaw is best known for the award winning Yorkshire Parkin a blend of oatmeal, ginger and black treacle. Using only the finest ingredients, Lottie Shaw’s partners with many local artisan producers to find the best ingredients; the eggs are free-range, the flour is locally milled just down the road from their bakery, the oatmeal is produced by one of the oldest family firms in England, and the oil is from their award winning friends at Yorkshire Rape Seed oil.
Crowned as the ‘Official Taste of Yorkshire’ in 2018 Lottie & her husband Ian built a new 12, 500 sq ft state of the art bakery, just a few miles from where her Great Aunts’ and later Grandfather ran the bakery over a century ago. Combining sustainable practices with a pride and passion for the tradition of ‘scratch baking’, Lottie Shaw’s continues to bake award-winning seriously good treats with the authentic taste of Yorkshire home baking like her Great Aunts’.
